Mr. Pitts Graduated high school from Brookings. He got his Bachelor Science degree from NSU. Then he went to SDSU to get his Masters in K-12 Administration. He taught at Sioux valley for seven years before coming to Estelline. This is his 3rd year in administration in Estelline. He is engaged to get married this summer. He has a son named Westin who is 6 years old. He has 2 brothers and 1 sister, along with 3 horses and 2 dogs. In his free time he likes to spend time with his family and he loves taking horses to the Black Hills exploring. He also hunts, fishes, and travels when possible.
Mrs. Runia graduated high school from Arlington and from college at Dakota State University. She majored in Elemantary/Special Education and minored in Computer Education. She also has an endorsement in K-12 Physical Education/Health. She taught at Bridgewater-Emery for two years before joining our Estelline staff. She lives by Volga with her husband Dan and her son Jarrett. In her spare time she enjoys being a mom and spending time with family as well as coaching, playing sports, being a youth group leader, boating, and spending time on the lake.
Mrs. Scotting graduated high school from South Shore and from college at Dakota State University. She has a degree in Elemantary/Special Education. Before joining our Estelline staff she taught at Hamlin.She lives in Estelline with her husband Toby and daughters Kelsey, Allie, and Alaina. She has two brothers Joe and Nick, stepbrother Danny, and stepsister Jenny. She has two dogs named Skye and Princess. In her spare time she likes to spend time with family, hockey games in the winter and camping and golf in the summer.
Mrs. Taylor graduated high school from Hamlin and received her bachelors and masters at SDSU. She has a masters in Educational Administration PreK-12. She also has majors in Mathematics and minors in Economics and General Science. She taught three years at Doland SD then came to Estelline for 17 years, then to Brookings for ten years before returning back to Estelline. She lives outside of Estelline with her husband James Taylor, and four grown children Amy, Colin, Chelsea, and Megan. She has many pets but her favorites are a long haired cat Lincoln, quarter horse Ranger, and border collie Cooper. In her spare time she serves as an EMT on the Estelline Ambulance. She also is a 4-H leader for the Estelline 4-H Club Busy Bees. She likes being outside with her animals and she also likes to garden. She has house plants, a vegetable garden and a flower garden in the summer. She also likes to sew and travel.
